Welcome to the
Summer Research Program!

Welcome to the 12th Summer Research Program (SRP) 2022 brought to you by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tsukuba. This years program has two components. SRP Online and SRP Plus held on campus in Tsukuba.

Our award-winning SRP will be held online from July 8th - 15th, 2022. Participants will have an opportunity to explore the latest biomedical research at Tsukuba, participate in online workshops, learn from expert researchers, and enjoy social and cultural events.

Selected student who participate in the SRP 2022 online will be invited to the University of Tsukuba campus for 3 weeks in October, 2022. The brand-new SRP Plus is an exciting opportunity to further your research at your laboratory of interest in Tsukuba.

The program has ended for 2022. Those who compete the survey and full fill the requirements for obtaining certificate will be distributed on or after Sept 15, 2022.

Program for 2022 has ended

SRP Online: Students wishing to apply for the SRP Online must be either undergraduates (excluding first-year students) or graduate (Master's program) students majoring in life science or related fields.

SRP Plus: Students wishing to apply for the SRP plus must be those who are planning to apply to one of the following graduate programs: Mater's or Doctoral Program in Medical Sciences, Human Biology Program, or Humanics Program for enrollment starting Spring or Fall 2023. Students who wish to apply for SRP Plus must also participate in SRP Online. They must also provide additional documents, including a statement of a research plan, English proficiency exam scores, and a copy of official transcripts.

Candidate who were selected to participate in SRP Plus will be notified by August 1, 2022.

Certificate were sent by email to all the participants who qualified for the requirements for the certificate. If you are not on the list, you did not complete the requirements to view all the videos provided in the individual faculty pages, attend the required number of live session or submit the survey on time.
