Welcome to the 14th Summer Research Program (SRP) 2024 brought to you by the Institute of Medicine, University of Tsukuba. This program has two components: SRP Online and SRP Plus held on campus in Tsukuba.
Our award-winning SRP Online will be held from July 5th - 19th, 2024. Participants will have an opportunity to explore the latest biomedical research at Tsukuba, participate in online workshops, learn from expert researchers, and enjoy social and cultural events.
Some selected student who participate in the SRP 2024 Online will be invited to join the SRP Plus held at the University of Tsukuba campus for 3 weeks in October, 2024. The SRP Plus is an exciting opportunity to further your research at your laboratory of interest in Tsukuba.

SRP Online
Students wishing to apply for the SRP Online must be either undergraduates (excluding first-year students) or graduate (Master's program) students majoring in life science or related fields. Students from anywhere in the world may apply via our online system. Up to 250 participants will be accepted. We do not accept doctoral or non-matriculated students; however, students with the intention to have research collaboration with our faculty members may also apply/join. Certificates will be issued to those who complete the minimum course requirements.
SRP Plus
Students who wish to apply for SRP Plus must also participate in SRP Online. Applicants will be asked to provide additional documents, including a statement of a research plan, English proficiency exam scores, and a copy of official transcripts. A maximum of 10 participants will be selected. Undergraduates or Master's students who are planning to apply to the university of Tsukuba graduate programs are eligible to participate in the SRP Plus. Places are very limited.
Certificates will be issued to those who complete the minimum course requirements.
